Women’s Bouldering Competition 2024, RoKC North

I left this event feeling excited to be a part of the climbing community in Kansas City.

As more and more women showed up to climb, there was such a strong feeling of support- there was room for all of us. I was surrounded by strong, confident people who were secure, grounded, and kind to each other while competing. I wish I could go back in time and bring my younger self to witness it- that I would find the community I was looking for, and that we would all lift each other up.

It was an honor to be there just noticing and capturing the incredibly beautiful dynamic of women owning their space and power, pushing their limits, and warmly cheering on and holding space for others when it was their turn on the wall.
